See you there!!
Today, was one of the first, many manorite participation garden days we the Manor has seen in a long time! With spring here, Oxalis (that pretty yellow flower seen EVERYWHERE!) taking over, and time to plant some seed starts, we gathered on one of the more sunny and beautiful days we have seen in weeks. With the special appearance of our new friends, Mia and Jad we tackled the Oxalis and made lots of progress! Here are some pictures from the day. Enjoy!!Let’s Plant! and Weed!!
…..or about as close as we can get without being inappropriate. Now, I am not usually a fan of roses, but these roses, special manor-grown roses, are freaking INCREDIBLE. Not only do they smell so amazing you could eat them, but they are insanely beautiful. So, here is a tribute to the sexy, gorgeous roses in the backyard.Sex in the Garden…
As I ventured out from my books to see what was happening in the garden, I was pleased to find that spring is on the way! The garden is bursting with flowers! I could not bear to keep the beautiful flowers to myself so I decided to share a post with everyone. Enjoy these early signs of spring, I know I am!!
Sean Burns — sneak attack, Tony appears through the front door, confusing the dreamboat, followed by Sean Mac-daddy with a talented side-swiping PIE TO DA DOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday Sean, We LOVE you!!!!
Hey All! Michelle was amazing (as always) and sent over some manorite pics from a little while back — these come from pre-december to January-ish. ENJOY! (ps — hopefully soon we will be back to daily postings of dinners and garden updates! stay tuned) Signs of Spring
PIE TO THE DOME What?!?!?!
Blast From The Past!
As the rain continues I wanted to update everyone on the status of our beautiful garden. All the veggies are crisp and refreshed. The carrots are almost ready, and the Greenhouse is flourishing! Garden Update!
The rains have been a blessing, and we are all thankful for our tasty vegetables. Erin has left us for a few days to play sleepover games with children in the East, and to visit with Kayla (her cousin) - who spent some time at the Manor. We were pleased to see Kayla off a few weeks ago, after coming into her own in a safe and encouraging space! Midterms are here and the students of the house are feeling the stress of cramming. Maura has moved back in officially (as of a few weeks ago now)! And Michelle has left the Manor, moving just a few blocks away. The full moon tends to bring us outside, gazing up to the heavens in awe. And month-old bagels prove to be a very good baseball. Staci’s 5:00AM bike rides to work have gotten colder, and much wetter. Jill, Lara, Tony and Mason spend most days on campus. Sean Mac-daddy is busy becoming a teacher and playing with Chaco. Sean Burns (aka dreamboat) is lecturing at UCSC, and spending weekends reconnecting with people of the past in the Bay. Tez is busy as always, and is getting pretty darn good at the Indo Board.
These winter months have brought with them busy schedules and crazy times. However, we each gather together most nights around delicious dinners to reconnect and laugh amongst each other.
