That’s right folks…. One of the first founding members of the Laurel Manor, the creator of this website, vegan stronghold, late night computer junkie, fire juggling beast and “you name it” instrument wizard has graduated from both the Laurel Manor and from UCSC’s “f*cking crazy” (please don’t quote me on that) Computer Science Graduate Department. On Jono’s last day here at the Manor we did it proper with Jono and his family with none other than a vegan BBQ and some birthday flaming fruit!!! Jono is currently juggling his pants off at Wavy Gravy’s Camp Winnarainbow and will then be traveling to the East Coast with his sweet heart Jodi at the end of the summer. Adios Jono, You will be missed!!!!!!!!
What the Laurel Manor has been up to…
Sorry to leave all of our dedicated blog followers in suspense…Minor transitions have been happening in Manor-town since the last blog was posted. House dynamics are smooth as earth balance. New house members from the summer are adjusting and thriving in the manor, while older housemates are representing the manor by teaching and sharing the meaning of community at Food Not Lawns. Currently there are 11 animate beings + Chaco residing at the house as well as my friend Betty Squash (She is a lovely butternut squash). Maura, one of our beloved housemates, is embarking on a journey for prosperity and abundance. She meditated on her happiness and without regrets, traded in her job for a plane ticket to Europe. Maura plans on backpacking around Europe and connecting with distant relatives as long as her finances permit. The infamous Allija got his Burning man on and then headed north for a graduate program at University of Oregon. Best of luck Alli! We love you!!!! Friends, love, food, chalk-board memos, Chaco, political spoofs, drunken fun, ass slaps, pies-to-the-dome, sensuous hot chocolate… so this could go on forever.
